Family History Starter- £55

Take your first steps into the past and discover your family history. If you’re unsure how to begin, or too busy to even start, this package will give you a push in the right direction. It could also be a unique gift.

You will find out about the history of one line of your family tree from the first half of the 20th Century back to the 1840s. This will include census returns* from 1911 back to 1841, searches of the birth, marriage and death index and 2 GRO Certificates (worth £9.25 each). You will receive a Family History Research Report and recommendations for further research.

Our Sporting Life: Sport in Poole
Closing 21st April 2013
As part of Borough of Poole’s contribution to the Cultural Olympiad, Poole Museum is staging an inspiring exhibition covering modern and historical sport in Poole. The exhibition tells stories about the rich sporting life of the town and Harbour. It is a celebration of aspects of Poole’s sporting heritage and the achievements of some of those who take part in sport at all levels, from Olympians to people who enjoy sport for fun and for leisure.
