Catalina FP287, wreckage after crash

Wreckage of BOAC Catalina aircraft which crashed off the SE corner of Long Island in Poole Harbour when returning from a training flight.

Pilot F/O P R Duff. 210 Squadron Hamworthy. Details of crew given, of whom 8 were killed, 4 injured.
