House robbery 11 June 1755

Wednesday last one William Brown of the west of Dorset, who was accused of robbing a near relation's house, came in a post-chaise to the Antelope Inn in this town, where he was welcomed by his injured relation, assisted by two other men, who by coming a nearer way, got there before him; he was secured for the night, and next morning carried before a Justice of Peace, in a manner **** more suitable to his character ***** ******. Whether he was sent to Dorchester or not I have not since heard.
