The "Sarah" taken by Spanish Vessels, 1740

Transcription of extract from Salisbury Journal 22nd January 1740 reads: "On Saturday last came advice, that the "Sarah", Captain Adis, of Pool, bound from Newfoundland for Viana, was in his passage taken by two Spanish Shallops, and taken to Gijon on the coast of Galicia."
