Church and Marshalsea Rate assessed on the Parish of St. James in the Town and County of Poole for the year 1758. Complete transcription. By Poole History Centre volunteers AC and KP. The parish was responsible for supporting the poor people of the parish. Wealthy citizens were taxed to provide this poor relief. The Church and Marshalsea Rate is a list of these wealthy people and the amount they were taxed. It is arranged by street.
